Regena's Back-story

With faith Regena rose above adversity and channeled her challenges into serving others through the arts. After her parents divorce, she was raised on Detroit's east side and turned to poetry and modern dancing to cope with living in a tough city. Poetry was her voice on page and dancing became her voice on stage.

Regena thrived as a dancer, until the age of 13 she was diagnosed with scoliosis and had to undergo a life-alternating spinal fusion. Her back-surgery redirected her dancing aspirations to an extraordinary broadcast media career. Impress with Regena's unique ability to formulate stories,  the NBC station in her hometown, a top-ten market created a producer position embarking her into the world of broadcast television. Regena's career skyrocketed as she interviewed people from all walks of life having worked for media organizations such as C-SPAN, NBC, FOX, the District of Columbia Network and The Kojo Nnamdi Show (NPR). Over the course of her career, she held positions as reporter, anchor and creator of the show "Cityline" airing in the Nation's Capital. The majority of Regena's journalism career occurred in a top-ten market in which some of the franchises and programming she produced continues to broadcast today.

Inspiring the community with compassion, a 21st Century program recruited Regena to create a media-arts program for a high school in the inner city of Washington, DC.  Around this time she became caregiver to her father and entered a pageant to re-calibrate. Recognized for her grace, poise and powerful back-story she won! With a new title of beauty queen she won three additional pageants and learned pageantry was another platform to serve. In 2008, she developed the Queendom Reigns program designed to teach confidence, poise and personal safety to teenage girls.

Divinely, as Regena commitment to charity increased, she grew professionally. Hired for her leadership and journalistic excellence, Regena made television history by becoming the first woman to advance to the position of News Director for the NBC & FOX affiliates in Upper Michigan. She gracefully shattered the glass ceiling by increasing the Nielsen ratings and transforming lives during her climb up the corporate ladder.

Mastering the news industry by achieving verifiable extraordinary results and daily experiences of telling other people stories prepared Regena for the entertainment industry. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2014. During her time in L.A., Regena worked on a multitude of television/film sets and boldly shared her authentic story on stage through her one-woman play, "Every Woman Has a Hidden Scar."  She created her own production company, Regenerated Productions LLC that is producing inspiring stories.

Emboldened with passion, enfolded with humility, Regena strives to convey messages in her storytelling that enlightens and uplift. She enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and dancing!
